Activation Error Code 0xC004E003

    Question

  • I am getting an error when I just change my product key: Activation Error Code 0xC004E003

I have tried re-entering the key; I have tried "buying" a license and verified that IE7 has full internet access.

  • Method C: Use the "Change product key" feature to enter your product key again

    This method is rated: Easy.

If you were directed to this method, you have the correct product key, but you have to try entering it again to reactivate Windows Vista. To do this, follow these steps:
    1. Click Start
      the Start button
, click Computer, and then click System properties on the toolbar.
    2. In the Windows activation section, click the Change product key
      User Account Control permission
. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, or click Continue.
    3. In the Product key box, type the product key, and then click Next.

Note Use your original product key.
    4. Follow the steps in the Windows Activation Wizard to complete the activation process.

  • Hi,

If you still cannot re-activate it after changing product key, let’s try to re-activate it by phone.

    1.     Click Start, type SLUI 4.exe into Search box and press Enter.

    2.     Select the nearest location and click Next.

    3.     Call the number provided on the page and use the Confirmation ID provided to re-activate Windows.

    Regards,
