Problems Accessing Administrative Shares Remotely on Windows 2012 - cannot access \\Servername\ShareName with any other user than Administrator

    Question

  • I have a Windows 2012 server that is running Hyper-V. A remote system NOT using the original Administrator local user account needs access. The original Administrator can access \\SERVERNAME\c$ and \\SERVERNAME\admin$ without an issue. A local user with all the same privileges and group memberships as Administrator can't.

I've tried to apply solutions from other postings, namely:

No dice and countless reboots. Any help?
