  • Hi all

    On Win Server 2008 R2 SP1 I Cannot create object (directory service was unable to allocate a relative identifier). Its a new DC !

  • The new DC has not gotten an allocation of RID's from the RID Master. Perhaps this DC cannot communicate with the RID Master, perhaps because of DNS problems. Do you get errors when you run dcdiag on the DC?

    To find the FSMO role holders, including the DC that is the RID Master, run:

    netdom query fsmo

    at the command prompt of a DC
