Disable Automatic Maintenance in Server 2012?

    General discussion

  • I am running into the issue with 2012 not honoring WSUS GPOs created with 2008 (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverGP/thread/9714c384-ffed-4561-8349-32fd1dace9f9/) and am doing some testing where I am trying to disable Automatic Maintenance to see if the 2008 GPO will go into effect.

However, I am unable to disable Automatic Maintenance via Task Scheduler as it continually turns itself back on.  Is anyone aware of how to explicitly disable this setting on the local machine as I don't have the option to manage a 2012 GPO?

  • if you have a WS2012 machine, then you can manage GPO (domain or local) from there?
