Remote Desktop Max Concurrent Users - Server 2008 Beta

    Question

  • I am trying to setup a win2008 Beta Server as a Terminal Server, but i face a problem with max
concurrent (Remote Desktop)users that are only 2. Is this a restriction in Beta Release or is it a
default setting that must me changed so as to support more concurrent Remote Desktop Sessions?

    Thank you in advance

When you install Windows Server 2008, by default, it operates in remote administration mode, where you get maximum of 2 active concurrent remote desktop sessions. To get more concurrent sessions, you have install Terminal Server role and purchase CALs for every user logging on to TS. Additionally, you have to install license server. By default the server runs 120 days (grace period) without licenses.
