Administrator doesn't have administrator rights now Server 2012

    Question

  • My administrator account on a Server 2012 Hyper-V host has now recently lost it's administrator priveledges. Does anyone know how to correct this without reloading. I have a number of VM's currently being used and will reload if it it absolutely neccessary.

    Thanks

  • has it really lost rights or is this just user access control (UAC) causing you issues?

what accounts are listed in the local admin group on the server.

  • When I try to start IE if flashes and closes. I cannot make changes to UAC.

I am not sure where else to look

  • Use Registry Key to Disable UAC on the server.

  • sounds like it might be a curropt profile - is there another local account / domain account with admin rights on the server that you can use to delete this user profile?
