what are the recommended server specs for a small going to medium sized business??

    Question

  • Hi,

I just have a question, i need help cause our family business is planning to upgrade our hosting server system, we are currently running our server on windows server 2003, I've got a suggestion that we could also upgrade to windows server 2008, but i'm uncertain if we should really do it, like it may mess up the whole system, or can we just get a new server provider and transfer all our data with the new host so we really won't do the upgrade technically, just get an upgraded service? i'm hoping to get some suggestion cause i'm really not sure yet what to do, thanks!

  • Hi,

    Thanks for posting here.

We’d suggest to upgrade to Windows Server 2008 platform since there any many new features and improvements have been made on that platform which will benefit users and their business . Could you please discuss your current system environment first so that we can give a proper way for you to migrate or upgrade?

  • Do you wanna stay with your old provider or change or have the services inside your network?

This is not a SBS question but I try to answer anyway if you just specify what you wanna achieve?
