Windows Storage Server 2008 R2 Share creation warning

    Question

  • HI All,

We create cluster, cluster was created successfully, then we create 2 FileServer cluster resources, it also

was created successfully. But when we receive a strange warning during creating share on these resources. The warning is:

"There were some warnings when querying quota templates and datascreen templates. The relevant pages will not be shown. Do you want to continue?

    Details:

The quota template on the server cannot be enumerated. Exception from HRESULT: 0x8004532F"

But share which was created anyway and works fine.

What it can be? and can we run cluster into production with this warning?

    BR,

    Max

  • Hello Max,

This shouldn't be any issue. But I will suggest you go to your File Server Resource manager and look and your quotas and File screening templates and make sure they are properly configured

  • Warning may not be an issue. Check if File Screen and Disk Quota work properly or not in FSRM. Is there any setting of File Screen or Disk Quota on the computer?
