The .Net 3.5 SP1 canundrum... ANY ANSWER IN SIGHT?

    Question

  • I realize that Microsoft is aware of issues with (KB951847) and I'm trying to make sense of it and further updates such as 958481, 958483, 958484. From what I'm reading it would read like 959209 would be the solution? If so, it isn't being deployed just as the previous Service Pack with the same Status: Not Installed/Not Applicable. I have a required software package to deploy that works perfectly but requires these updates for .Net Framework. Is there anyway to get this working? Is the filesize an issue? Manually installing the update works fine and my software package Deploys fine after this update is installed...

This is where I found others discussing these issues: http://www.microsoft.com/communities/newsgroups/en-us/default.aspx?dg=microsoft.public.windowsupdate&tid=e9d73bfe-fb8d-43f5-9d98-8c037471f235&cat=en_US_2231886c-4c59-45b0-92e0-8881ddf5f40b&lang=en&cr=US&sloc=en-us&m=1&p=1

KB959209 is the replacement for KB951847. KB951847 should be declined. More details on these two updates is available in this thread.

  • This is a SCE deployment...  So WSUS is where it's hanging?
