Windows 7 SP1 news (again - official announcement out)

    General discussion

  • It's interesting that all links to SP1 RC disappeared from the pages they were before. The download is still there, but you'll have a hard way to find it now from TechNet\Evalcenter, WindowsClientTechcenter, microsoft.com or other resources. Honi soit qui mal y pense.

  • If you look at the correspondent KB articles, you'll notice there are two kinds of SP1 updates, one with 6.1.7601,175.. and another one with 6.1.7601.216... They're having exactly the same size and release date, however. I don't understand this hide-and-seek game, really.

  • 175XX = GDR and 21XXX = LDR. I wrote something in my German Forum (Tutorial Subforums).
