On Windows Server 2012, WSUS is installed to port 8530, on an alternate v-dir, most likely cause is that you did not include the port suffix on the URL in the GPO. Should be http://nameOfWSUSServer:8530.

  • Hi,

do you get an error code displayed on the client?
examine the windowsupdate.log on the client. look for errors/warnings/configuration problems. compare with another client which is working.
