WMI::Win32_PerfFormattedData_PerfDisk_PhysicalDisk:Design bug, doc error or useless??

    Question

  • Hi All !

I am just writing an app, which monitors disk and - to my horror - the counters, following this pattern:

    "AvgDiscsec/PerTransfer/PerRead ..." etc

are all zero, and this for all disks and I checked different computers!!!!!

In opposite to the classes in "Win32_PerfRawData_....*", there is NO property "Scale" on the
    property to the value!!!!

Using "Win32_PerfRawData_PerfProc_...*" means, you have to do all the raw and devil calculations by yourself! Is this really meant that bad or is this a bug or is just the documentation wrong???

Thanks a lot!! I am just out of hope! Anyone, who could shed some light onto this, would be really very helpful! I just do not see any other meta property which could be of help, and, the counters are even zero, while in the RAW world, there are really values!

  • Hi

I am also getting the same issue. AvgDiskSecPerRead, Write and Transfers are always zero for the Physical and Logical .. Is this Design or Bug ?
