Rename of the Cluster in Windows server 2008 R2

    Pertanyaan

  • My Cluster is in production and we need to rename the cluster name without impacting the users data.

Printer was already configured over the cluster also.

Kindly share me the standard document and suggest to proceed with the same.

  • It is really as simple as selecting the relevant Name resources in your cluster and changing the name.  If you change the CNO (Cluster Name Object), you will need to reboot all the nodes in the cluster.

  • AFAIK, Reboot is not needed ! As I had already done this successfully.
