We are starting to play around with WSUS in our Lab environment. I was wondering if there was any way around installing/applying the updates and having to 'shutdown' the Win7 workstation? I would rather have the workstation reboot and install that way once
the updates are applied the WS will be up and running and won't require a user to physically power it on.

Ever since the invention of the first "windows update" -- sometime around the dawn of Windows 95 as I recall -- it has been a fundamental requirement of the Windows OS that installing OS updates requires a system restart. Nothing has changed in the almost 20
years since then.
