Server 2008 R2 network Identification problem

    問題

  • We recently set up a file and print server at our home office in Indiana to be used at a divisional office in Texas.  They connect back to us through a Cisco Pix VPN (soon to be replaced by a new sonicwall).  The server is now down there, and the network identification doesn't seem to be working.  Under the "View your active networks" it jsut says identifing, and that there is no internet connection.  It can get on the internet, and all the client PC's seem to now be able to connect to it for their files/printers/and DHCP settings, it's also a Domain controller for that site if that makes any difference.  Is there a fix for this issue?  I'd like to get it resolved so this doesn't possibly have some unforseen consiquence later on.  Or do i not need to worry about it?

Is it multihomd ? could you first show us the “ipconfig /all” and “route print”results for this remote domain controller here ? especially the DNS address it is using now .

Before that please take look the explication in the article below:

  • Yes it's a multihomed server, but the other NIC is disabled.  And the firewall is off through a domain GPO we have.
