已答复MDM & Exchange 2003

I'm still a little confused on the interaction between MDM & Exchange 2003. From the document Integrating MDM 2008 SP1 with Microsoft Exchange Server it sounds like only Exchange 2007 SP1 lets you specify that the device will be managed by something other than Exchange. Does this mean that Exchange 2003 will interfere or prevent any of the MDM functionality that overlaps with Exchange's functionality, i.e., wipes, password/PIN policies, etc.

Basically there's an existing Exchange 2003 environment and MDM is being implemented. We'd like to use all of the MDM features and do all mobile management with MDM. Any issues?

    Thanks,
    Chad

There are no issues managing Exchange 2003 devices using MDM. MDM works really well with Exchange 2003, enhancing it greatly. It’s best to only set pin policy once, so I suggest managing this with MDM and disabling the exchange policies. Device wipe will work from either Exchange 2003 or MDM , but I recommend using the MDM . You can have both exchange and MDM policies set during your device mangment rollout, without conflict.
