    Good afternoon,

    We are using MS exchange Server 2007 and we are currently searching
    for a third-party mail archiving solutions.

    We are currently evaluating the GFIMailArchiver 2011, but we
    want to know which other mail archiving solution are available on the market.

    We would appreciate if you can share with us your mail
    archiving solution/experience.

    There are probably 50+ different companies in the email archiving business.   I have never used GFI personally.  I have worked with Symantec Enterprise Vault and found it to be of equal or better quality to some of the other players in the market.  Here is a list of some of the major players in the market.

    When evaluating software, you should look at the feature set that you expect to get from the software, the functionality that your end users are expecting, and the "gains" you are going to get.   Many organizations spend hundreds of thousands (or millions) of dollars to implement a 3rd party archiving tool to reduce the amount of disk space their e-mail is consuming.  The resulting expenditure in e-mail archiving is often many times greater than just investing in more e-mail storage.

    You could have a look at Sonian Email Archiving solution. They offer a fixed price per user per month and it comes with unlimited storage, an advanced eDiscovery interface, and a personal archive integrated within Outlook to allow employees to browse through their personal emails and recover any of their own archived items by themselves. There's no setup or training fee and 24/7 support comes at no cost. Given that you're an Exchange user, the Microsoft AD integration for user authentication and management might be a useful feature to you. It's a complete cloud solution so you don't need any hardware or software to be installed and can be up-and-running in minutes.

    Hello Shahaira,

    At Mimecast we provide cloud-based email archiving that integrates with Exchange 2003, 2007 and 2010.
    Jim already pointed you to a list on MSExchange.org who awarded us a Gold Award (http://www.msexchange.org/articles_tutorials/product-reviews/product-review-mimecast-unified-email-management.html)

    Mimecast provides email archiving, email continuity and email security in a single unified platform to help you remove some cost and complexity from your environment while reducing some of the risk associated with the email ecosystem.

    Our website (www.mimecast.com) has a wealth of info, but I would start at an independant evaluation like that done by MSExchange.org
