    Hi!

I have a working AD MA and I also configuerd a Sync Rule which operates with the AD MA.

Now I wand to add some additional attributes. I am able to select the attributes on the MA but the dont shown up on the Sync Rule as destination.

When I create a new MA with a new Sync Rule iam able to populate all attributes. So it seams not possible to add attributes to an existing MA /Sync Rule?!

    Do I make something wrong?

    Rotkap,

This should work. After you add the attributes selected in the AD MA, you should be able to use these in your AD sync rule. I just tried this, they won't show up 'on the fly' while in the sync rule designer. Make sure you close the sync rule designer and you are looking at the default Synchronization Rules display. Then, when going to sync rule, they show up in destination tab.

Also, after adding attributes to AD MA, you might look at 'Search Requests' and verify that you see a request that looks similar to this:

Update to ma-data: 'FIM AD' Request

This would confirm that the sync engine is communicating with the FIM Service. Although, if you create new MA and that works, then this should be the case.

    Hi Gleen,

thanks for your answare. I tried wat you described and it works for the new created MA/Sync Rule it shows up in the "Search Reauersts" but it dose not work for the old MA. Seams that my old MA is broken. Is there a way to repair the MA or to export all my configurations?

    Thank you Glenn

When you are updating MA configuration are you getting any errors in event log related to pushing changes to FIM? Probably it is not an issue as you are saying that for new MA it works fine (is new MA created on the same instance? ) but it is worth to be checked.

It is definitely possible to update list of attributes on MA and then use them on synchronization rule.

    Hi Tomasz,

I'am running the new MA on the same instance but in a separate process.

Iam able to provision Users to AD with the old MA and no I do not getting any errors.?!

    Hi,

thank you all for help. After I have reentered the Password for the MA account, the attributes now showing up.

No, the account was not locked and the password was not changed. I only reentered the password in the MA. No idea why its working now.

    Thank you again.
