    Hi Friends,

    I am having a document library where i need to use my legacy document template handy with me(this is template is not created through "Edit template" option). The problem with document template is that , its template fields are not created  from the Sharepoint columns . But the Name of both libary column and template field are exactly same. Is there any way to use the legacy word template for the sharepoint document library? . Because I dont want to give end user admin to "access" the Edit template and add the SP library columns as template fields.  Is there any way to accomplish this?

    Is it possible through any third party SDK to access the Sharepoint Site Columns and add as it template fields on the word document?

    I don't quite understood what you mean, could you provide more details scenarios?

    It seems you want to map the column's value in word template to the column in SharePoint, if so, you may consider use Information panel, for more information, please refer to:
