Secure Store Service or Single Sign-On with a host header

Hi all,
Setup SP 2010 and used the farm config wizard which created a default port 80 web application and site. Was thrilled to see that when you accessed the site on our internal network by typing "http://sharepointserver" it automatically checked your Windows domain credentials that you have to login to your Windows and did not prompt you for those credentials again at the site. Wunderbar!
However, the moment I wanted to get a little fancy with my domain name back came the credential pop up. Trying to figure out the best way to resolve this. Basically, I want to access the default 80 web app using a host header such as: intranet.ourdomain.com . I have gone into DNS and created an A record to point to the SharePoint server and it's working in that respect. Once you plug in that address in your broswer AND enter your credentials, you're taken to the site.
Yet how do I get single sign on to work even with the host header? I've peered all around the net and can't seem to find what I'm looking for.
Any thoughts?
Thanks!kevin

Hi Kevin
if you want your users to login to the sharepoint application automatically you only have to add the url as "loal intranet" in the security tab of "internet options" in IE. Make sure that either "automatic login with username and password" or "automatic logon only in intranet zone" is selected in the settings for the zone and the login prompt should be gone.
Best regards
