I am getting these errors every hour:

I did a stsadm -o sync -listolddatabases 1 on my CA server and it responds:

User Profile Application 'UPS' - Partition 0c37852b-34d0-418e-91c6-2ac25af4be5b

No databases match the criteria for this Partition in the User Profile Application

This is the same number that it referenced in my error messages.  I tried doing a
stsadm -o sync -deleteolddatabases 1 but it doesn't change anything.  How can I get my sites to begin syncing correctly?  I have already stopped and restarted User Profile and User Profile Sync and did an iisreset.

    Hi ,

try to stop User Profile Service and restart it again especially after you installed Aug CU.

in my case, i did do that, as instructed by MS in the notes for the CU.  No luck :\

After installing the June CU, you need to REprovisioning the UPS Application.

    The restart is not enough..

I cleared the configuration cache -- issue persists.

I re-provisioned the UPSA and it essentially hosed my profiles.  I ended up having to restore that SA from a backup just to get it working again.

At any rate...i'm still experiencing the issue.

I tried this and unfortunately it did not stop the error.

Maybe I should try it from this approach:

When I run stsadm -o sync -listolddatabases 0 on my server I get this error:

User Profile Application 'UPS' - Partition '0c37852b-34d0-418e-91c6-2ac25af4be5b, No databases match the criteria for this Partition in this User Profile Application

Running the -deleteolddatabases 0 command did not get rid of this message.  How can I get the databases to use this criteria for my UPS?

When you say REprovisioning the UPS Application, do you mean delete and recreate?

I was having Errors 5553 ('dbo.UserMemberships') on one of my app servers every hour. I tried the stsadm commands to no avail. Almost every blog out there suggests the stsadm commands, but they aren't advised in Sharepoint 2010.

It turns out the problem was a corrupted configuration cache. Following the instructions in this link fixed it for me.  http://blogs.msdn.com/b/josrod/archive/2007/12/12/clear-the-sharepoint-configuration-cache-for-timer-job-and-psconfig-errors.aspx
