    Hi,

    I've been searching the internet and trying different methods on how to:

      1. move an Infopath Form library to another location with the same site collection that will:
          * retain a workflow history
          * retain user's last mod/approval history.
          * retain same workflow settings (Names and associations)

    * This is not about the 60 days workflow purge (it's disabled)
    * I've tried stsadm import/export - the results did not meet the above requirements
    * I've tried the SQL method retrieve and inject via dbo.Workflow and dbo.WorkflowAssociation.  This method is hack db and I've noticed through testing that it broke some links.  Very risky!

    If you know of a tool, I'm open.  Thank you for you help.

    What was missing when you did export/import?  The workflow should still be there, but did you lose history?

    Have you tried an entire site backup and restore?

    Thanks for the reply.  Stsadm backup and restore is fine if you do the whole site collection and all locations are the same.

    In my situation, I need to move a site to a new location and would like the workflow - associations,version history and the workflow history move as well.

    I've used the Site Administration - Content and Structure to move/copy a list to new site location.  It retains the original and modified by user info.  But the workflow configuration, versions and history did not move.  I think this a limitation of Sharepoint.  I haven't seen a tool that would move everthing including the kitchen sink.  The salesmen are bunch of bs talkers.

    This is what I used for export:

    stsadm -o export -url http://xxxx -filename xxx -includeusersecurity -version 4

    Doing this method, you will loose the original modified by and created by owner.

    This was moved to Infopath forum, but if you see the main issue, it should be back to Workflow.

    It's actually a SharePoint administration question, but I don't think there is a method for it other than potentially some 3rd-party tools.
