    I have a vanilla install of Server 2008 with Service Pack 2 and all the latest hotfixes/updates setup as a failover cluster.

    I am trying to install Exchange Server 2007 SP2 as a SCC installation.

    Validation Checks do not show any issues and allows me to continue installation.

    However, when the installation is 90% done, the system fails when trying to start the MsExchangeTransportLogs service and the installation ends.

    I receive a MSEXCHANGESETUP event id 1002 error reading...

    Service 'MSExchangeTransportLogSearch' failed to reach status 'Running' on this server.

    I have increased the startup timeout to 120000 with no change.

    Any assistance would be appreciated.

    Hi,

    Please try to manually start MSExchangeTransportLogSearch and then re-run setup to test the issue.

    If it still fail,then please post the detail setup log with detail error event here for further troubleshooting.

    Just go through the Exchange Setup logs to see what is the root cause
