    How do I force communicator to primarily use communicator call instead of calling through PBX?

    When user clicks contact and makes call, the communicator uses last used connection type communicatorcall or call to direct GSM-number. People don't realize the costsaving potential here and our IT would prefer using always the communicator call and let the destination Communicator do the potential transfer to GSM-network if the person is not available.

    This would have to be a user-training issue as there is no way to customize that behavior of the client; it will always display the most recently used function for audio calls next to contact names.  The only way to force users to use Communicator Calls would be to configure their clients using the TelephonyMode group policy setting to remove the Enterprise Voice calling options, which clearly would cripple your EV usage.

    I recommend training users to never dial using the button but to always use the drop-down arrow directly to the right of the phone icon to manually choose the call they want to place (Work, Mobile, Communicator, etc)
