DPM 2012 couldn't protect one of the database on SQL Server 2008

    問題

  • Hi~

I am testing DPM 2012 to protect a SQL Server 2008 SP2 server, and having a issue.

One of the database (TEST) always failed to sync, and DPMRA.exe crashed on SQL Server.

If I try to detach and attach the database in different db name (TEST1108), then everything works fine. even change db name from TEST to TEST_rename will solve the problem

    -----------DPM Server Monitor log------------

    Affected area:    2008R2T\TEST
    Occurred since:    2011/11/7 AM 09:58:00
Description:    The replica of SQL Server 2008 database 2008R2T\TEST on 2008r2t.evaair.com is inconsistent with the protected data source. All protection activities for data source will fail until the replica is synchronized with consistency check. You can recover data from existing recovery points, but new recovery points cannot be created until the replica is consistent.

  • Do the following to protect the Microsoft SQL Server 2012 database:

Connect to the SQL Server 2012 instance through the Management Studio, and then select and expand Security. Select and expand Logins, right-click NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM, and then click Properties. Click Serverroles, click sysadmin, and then click OK.
