DPM 2012; Cant get agents to talk to DPM or deploy

So I have several issues with DPM and I suspect there is an underlying root cause, but I cant figure it out.
I have DPM 2012 running on Server 2008.
When in the DPM 2012 Administrator Console (running as myself, a member of the domain admins group in AD) I try to Install an agent on Win 7 x64 Pro remotely using my credentials. After 90 seconds or so, the install fails and this appears in the Monitoring > alerts > Warnings:
Agent Operation Failed. (ID 370). The agent operation failed becaues the DPM Agent Coordinator service on <hostname> did not respond. (ID 324 Details: Internal error code: 0x8099090E)
If I manually install the DPM Agent on the Win 7 client, the DPM Client reports it's status as "Unable to contact DPM server."
Both machines are on the same subnet with no routers or anything between them; Client can ping server and vice versa; both machines have their firewalls turned off.
How can I get this client (and the 7 servers and 16 other clients after this) to communicate with DPM?

2011年10月28日 下午 04:46Also, I found this in the event logs of the client:
A DPM agent failed to communicate with the DPM service on 2K8E.fabrismilano.ca because access is denied. Make sure that 2K8E.fabrismilano.ca has DCOM launch and access permissions for the computer running the DPM agent (Error code: 0x312b00, full name: 2K8E.fabrismilano.ca).

Hi,
After you manually installed the agent on the Win 7 client, did you run the attach agent on the DPM server ? What does the status say for the Win 7 client if you perform a refresh for that client on the DPM server ?
I Believe these three BLOG links cover all the bases for agent communications issues, they should be the same for DPM 2012.

Hello,
I know that you said that the firewall is turned off, is it off for all profiles? From a command prompt on both the DPM server and the target server please type:
"net stop bfe" to turn off the firewall and ipsec. Once done does a refresh of the agent show up as "OK"?
Thanks,
Shane

After manually installing the agent on client, run the SetDPMServer tool from elevated comd prompt:
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Data Protection Manager\bin> SetDPMServer.exe -DPMServerName <DPM Server Name>
Also, on the DPM server, protect the computer in a Client protection group. Once the group is created, the client should be able to communicate with the DPM.

Hello,
This is the first time that you have mentioned (or shown via screenshot) the DPM Client. If you are wanting DPM client functionality then have you set up the client protection as per: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/showcase/details.aspx?uuid=b2307138-901e-480e-87fc-3b2afe344440 ?
Make sure the policy is setup correctly on the DPM server.
Make sure to select the folder on the client to backup then perform a sync.
Suggest you check the DPMClientProtectionCurr.errlog after doing a sync to see if the policy is coming down. Thanks,
