Setup KMS for Windows 2008 and Windows 7

Hi,
I'm a bit confused as to whether the KMS key that we have purchased has a license limit associated with it?
I have received many Windows 2008 std/Ent KMS B keys and a Windows 7 Client KMS key.
I tried to add the Windows 7 client KMS key, but that throws up an error: "Error: 0xC004F050 The Software Licensing Service reported that the product key is invalid.", on my Windows 2008 KMS server.
So reading through the document on KMS activation, it seems that this key has to be installed on a Windows 7 Client, rather than on our Windows 2008 R2 KMS server - This seems very odd.
I have just loaded the one Windows 2008 std/Ent KMS B key at the moment and this seems to be happily activating Windows 2008 and Windows 7 clients, so do I actually need to load the other 2008 KMS B keys and the Windows 7 key, or is it enought that I have the paper to prove I have purchased the appropriate licenses, and this one KMS key will activate all my windows 2008 and windows 7 clients without any problems of hitting license limits.
Thanks for any help
Jaz

Hello Jaz,
Paper licenses are enough to show to MS for the purchase order and appropriate license. You can also check the license in much detail on the Software Assurance page in Volume license login page

Hi,
I think you need to download the following videos from the Microsoft to verify the process for setting up KMS is correct:
Title: KMS Setup in Windows 7
URL: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=11170Title: Windows Server 2008 KMS Setup Demonstration
URL: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=22110At the same time, you could look into the Event Viewer to verify whether there are some related errors or warnings included or not.
