    If I have more than 5 VHD mounted to one VM. Is there a way to Identify which DISK # / Drive Letter / it is mounted to inside the VM. For Example:

      C:\xxx1.VHD -> Inside the VM is Disk 0
      C:\xxx2.VHD -> inside the VM is Disk 1
      C:\xxx3. VHD -> Inside the VM is Disk 2.
     so on...

    To compare this with a Physical Server, a Raid Controll would have the option "Blink Drive" and you would be able to identify the drive using the blinking light.

    Thank you

    Hello HS_Pro ,

    To identify as you said in the VM you have disk 0 - disk1 and disk 2.

    If I dont misunderstand ;

    Server Manager - Storage - Disk Management shows your all Disk Letters and Disk Drives.

    For examle xxx1.vhd => inside VM is Disk 1 = D Drive in VM.

    Therefore naming standards are important.

    What I have done is ; naming extra disk as drive letter . Example ;

    ServerName_E.VHD / ServerName_F.VHD / ServerName_G.VHD

    Otherwise there is no option like blinking or identifying VHDs on VM.

    Sincerely,

    Murat Demirkiran
