    Hi,

i installed fcs as standalone on my new windows vista x64 sp1. the installation went fine, without any error.
i then update the fcs using windoiws update, and all i ok.
then suddenly, when i tried to open fcs, it open the console for few secondes, and then close the console and the fcs.
i tried to open again but the same, it will alowayes show the console for few secondes and then close it all (console, tray icon, and fcs app)

what is the problem? is it not supported to be installed on vista 64 sp1? how can i solve my problem

    thansk in advance

I can't even get it to install.  I downloaded the trial and it gives me the Vista Compatibily error messages.  When I click run anyway the setup crashes.  I am running Vista x64 SP1.

There shouldn't be any issues as long as you are installing the x64 version of the client.  You may want to check the system and application event logs to see if any errors are being thrown there.

I download the ISO from, http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=7D0FBE8D-0174-4B49-B0E9-BBE6DFAD3F79&DisplayLang=en&hash=w36lOZtFuV5n3stk7CLTGPu92J69nQf7Bae2z0%2b3tAGSdWyeBYQ%2b4cZGhn2nqM/cgiVsnMV4MQ6Uyo4BnoaUBQ%3d%3d, I click on the setup and I get these messages.  I tried to run the client setup in the x64 directory directly and nothing happens.

Oh, and I know this says System.OutOfMemoryException, I want to point out that I have 8 GB of installed memory and I have 4 GB on Ready Boost.  I also had the same problem on a computer with only 4 GB of memory.  2 PC running Vista x64 and same problem.

    My event viewer show this:

serversetup.exe ?? you cannot install server on vista and server components cannot install on x64 whatsoever.  You need to run clientsetup.exe from the cd if you want to install the client preferably clientsetup.exe /nomom if you are not going to have a managed client.
