    Hello

How is it possible to move a mailbox from an exchange (2003) in the child domain to the root exchange server (2007)? Do I've to use PowerShell? In EMC i see only my mailboxes in the root doamin.

    Thanks

    Norbert

    Hi Norbert,

Change the recipient scope to child domain and check.

    Recipient Configuration > Recipient Scope

    Hello Norbert,

I am able to see same result which I see in Recipients Configuration when I select the forest level scope and in Recipients Configuration -> Mailboxes. I think forest level scope selected on Recipient Configuration applies on all sub-categories also (Mailboxes, Distribution Group, Mail Contact & Disconnected Mailboxes)

You may need to Modify the maximum number of recipient to display when you click on Recipients Configuration -> Mailboxes.

    Dear customer:

    Thanks for Amit’s reply.

To move mailboxes, you can use either the Move Mailbox wizard or the Move-Mailbox cmdlet. You cannot use the Move Mailbox wizard to move mailboxes across forests. To move a mailbox from one forest to another, you must use the Move-Mailbox cmdlet.

For more information about How to Move a Mailbox Within a Single Forest, you can refer to the following article:

    Hope it helps.

    Hello

I noticed that the scope can be change into the "Find" Window, but not in the Recipient List where all the Mailboxes are located. Is there a way to archive this?

    Thanks

    Norbert

Of course Amit. When I open the EMC all User Mailboxes from the root Domain where listed on Recipients | Mailboxes. But, I would like to see also the Mailboxes of the other Domains (same forest). In "find", there is the "Scope" Option which does work fine. But in the view in "Recipients | Mailboxes", i did not find a solution like that.

    thanks

    Norbert
