After uninstall one of our old exchange 2003 server, we start to get a lot of alerts on SCOM - all of them are issuing MAPI conctivity to public folder.

Some of the MAPI connectivity transactions failed. Detailed
    information:
Target: System mailbox for ILMAILPT01\Public Folder Database - ILMAILPT01
    Error:
    [Microsoft.Exchange.Data.Storage.MailboxUnavailableException]: Cannot open
    mailbox /O=Strauss/OU=Naharia/cn=Configuration/cn=Servers/cn=MIS/cn=Microsoft
    System Attendant. Inner error [Microsoft.Mapi.MapiExceptionUnknownUser]:
MapiExceptionUnknownUser: Unable to make connection to the server.
    (hr=0x80004005, ec=1003)

The server in the error (MIS) was uninstall.

    Hi,

Since you have uninstall the server, I recommend you to put the object into maintance mode.

What happens if you try to delete the server from SCOM? I have done this once after a college of mine had decommissioned a server, and it worked.

    Hi,

Please try to run Test-MAPIConnectivity to verify the issue.

If we do not have issue with that command, then I recommend you close the alert from SCOM or disable the related monitor
