The Exchange Server 2010 SP2 Upgraded failed at the hub transport role with an error of:

    ________________________________

    Error:

    The following error was generated when ''$error.Clear();

    buildToBuildUpgrade-ExsetdataAtom -AtomName MTA -DomainController

    $RoleDomainController

'' was run: '' An error occurred with error code '2147950628' and message 'The administrative limit for this request was exceeded.'.''.

An error occurred with error code '2147950628' and message 'The administrative limit for this request was exceeded.'.''.

It had a link to click help but the resulting microsoft webpage said no information could be found on this error.

Has anyone ran into something like this before during the sp2 upgrade for exchange 2010? any idea what this error even means?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi,

what about you own priviledges. Are you trying to install SP2 with the same userid you previously installed Exchange 2010.

You might want to make sure you right click on the install file and select "Run as Administrator".

    Hi and thanks for replying,

Yes, we installed using the Administrator account, and all upgrades are done under the administrator account.

    hi,

You can find some information from the setup logs.

You can find the setup log at <system drive>\ExchangeSetupLogs\ExchangeSetup.log. The <system drive> variable represents the root directory of the drive where the operating system is installed.

    More information you can see:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb125254.aspx

    hope can help you

    thanks,
