    Hi,

I have the same Problem as David with Exchnage 2007 and Entourage 2004.
Sending the same Mail over a Exchange 2003 and Entourage 2004, this Problem doesn`t appear.
I think that other Admins have the same Issue  in their Enviroment and hope Microsoft fix this Problem immediately!

Perhaps, a Worker from Microsoft read this thread and can take comment to!

    Cheers, Thomas

I'm affraid we are left alone with this issue...

A feasable workaround is creating an additional POP account in Entourage where only filling in the name and email address of the user and a SMTP server. You are able to save the account without defining a POP3 (incoming mail) server.

Then instruct the user when sending attachments to use the created account to send the email.

    Cons:

    - Additional action required from the user

    - Send mail are stored in the local sent items folder (thus not available in the mailbox/owa)

    Pro:

    - Entourage users are able to send attachments outside of the organisation

Please be aware of the following: When entourage send attachments within the organisation the attachments are "untouched" but when forwarding an entourage sent email using OWA outside the organisation the same issue occures.

    Hi guys,

Yes, we have this exact same problem. Our users are using the latest Entourage 2004 and we use a hosted Exchange 2007 service provider. Our hoster has said they are already patched up to Security Rollup 4 though and we just had another user report the problem today.

It does not seem to matter what's on the recipient side, the attachment shows up as corrupt (a bit over 0KB) in various webmail clients such as Gmail or in email clients such as Outlook.

Has there been any update on this issue? I hope Microsoft is aware of this bug and are actively working on a fix.

We're an ad agency and 50% of our machines are Macs so this is a big problem for us.

    Cheers,

    Derek

We are getting reports of this exact issue.  We are also at Update Rollup 4.  I noticed that Update Rollup 5 for Exchange Server 2007 is out and one of the issues that is fixes sounds similar to the problem everyone is having:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/941421

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940080/

I approved the update for installation, so in the next couple of days, I should know if it fixes the issue or not.

Thank you for your post! It seems that MS solved quite a few entourage/mac/exchange 2007 compatibility issues with sr4 and 5.

Also IMAP, just for info Wink

    Cheers!

    Hi,

We have the same problem, we're running exchange server 2007 (up to date with Rollup5).

When we are sending for example a JPG or eps file form a mac in our network made with creativeSuite3

the attachment result external in 0 Kb. Internal no problem. An older jpg or eps (Made in creative suite 1) doens't give problems as well (Both extern as intern the organisation).

More strangely: If we send the jpg/eps file through webacces it also doens't give problems.

I think it is an combined problem between CS3 and the SMPT server exchange 2007.

Is there anyone who has had the same problem and resolved it ?

    Thanx !

    Gert

    Hi All,

We are having the same issue, Ex 07 (rollup 5), Windows SP1, HP DL380 G5.

It appears that our marketing dept get's a lot of images from designers who use mac's. If we forward these messages to anyone outside the organisation it appears to go through as 0KB. If we forward the attachment inside the organisation there are no problems at all. I have tried changing the email options within Outlook 2003 to see if that helped but it does not seem to help.

The only way to get around this at present is to save the attachment and create a new email and re attach the attachment.

I hope Microsoft fixes this issue as it's becoming a huge issue as the number of Exchange 07 install's grows.

Please let me know if anyone finds a fix Smile

    Thanks

    Naresh

    Hello again,

    I have installed SP1 for Exchange 2007.
SP1 fixed that Problem with broken attachments, which sent external.
But now I have another Problem with attachments.

If I receive attachments from Mac Mail or other mail clients with Entourage , the Attachments lost type and creator (resources Forks).

I have a exchange 2003 Server in my test enviroment, and have no problems with attachments.
I suspect a Bug in OWA of Exchange 2007.

    Have anybody the same problem?

Perhaps have someone a solution to fix this failure?

    Greetz
