    Hi Guys,

Just can't get Vista to recognize my new HV20 (don't you hate that!). On my old computer (XP) it works a treat in Liquid 7 and Studio Ultimate and windows recognizes it the minute I turn it on! (I'm using the firewire connection - I've tried them all in Vista). In Vista I login to the device manager which informs me it's not configured correctly (Code1) so I click reinstall but then I get another error saying found software but encountered a problem when installing (don't you just hate that!). I've reinstalled the Canon software but still no result.........Vista should recognize the camera without the software.........

Anyone got any ideas, obviously I'm doing something wrong.........!

    Cheers,

    Hello Fella,

    Thanks for your post!

    Please try the following steps:

    1.    Remove all the drivers or utilities for HV20.

Note: Backup important personal data before removing them.

    2.    Install DV TWAIN Driver 6.6.7 and ZoomBrowser EX 6.0.1c Updater for Windows. Then check the issue again.

    3.    Perform a clean boot and connect the camera again, in case of factors from 3rd party services or applications:
