AnswerWhat's up with KB article KB957200?

In an unusual departure from normal Patch Tuesday procedures, MS pushed a "reliability update" for Vista and Windows Server 2008 yesterday--namely Update for Windows Vista (KB957200). Doubly unusual, perhaps, in that it's  the second such out-of-cycle update this month (and this week).
That said, the link to the KB article itself, which is of great interest to me and other serious Vista users, remains unavailable. Click on http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957200 and you get URL http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=gp;[ln];kberror&style=error&errurl=%2fdefault.aspx%2fkb%2f957200 in response, which is essentially a dressed-up HTTP 404 error response page.
It's highly unusual to see an update go out without the accompanying KB article to describe its contents. In my case, it seems to have addressed several irritating and chronic stability problems on my system. When can we expect to see that article posted?
    Inquiring minds want to know!

I just got this patch today as well and now my computer takes forever to start. I am sick of updates. I had another a few months back that screwed up my wifi.

I'm not sure exactly what time yesterday (10/30/2008) the KB article posted, but the link to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/957200 is now live. Interestingly, its title is "Windows Error Reporting does not function correctly when it is running in a "Windows on Windows 64" (WoW64) configuration on a Windows Vista SP1-based or Windows Server 2008-based computer." Despite this very particular problem, patches apply to 32-bit OSes as well. Even more interesting, this patch has apparently resolved a graphics driver issue for me, as well as an error reporting problem, though none of the files mentioned touch on the graphics subsystem directly.

The KB article mentions these files in particular as affected for 32-bit Vista:

File name File version File size Date Time Platform
    Faultrep.dll 6.0.6001.18145 147,456 18-Sep-2008 04:56 x86
    Werfault.exe 6.0.6001.18000 217,088 19-Jan-2008 07:33 x86
    Werfaultsecure.exe 6.0.6001.18000 860,160 19-Jan-2008 07:33 x86
    Faultrep.dll 6.0.6001.22271 147,456 20-Sep-2008 04:00 x86
    Werfault.exe 6.0.6001.22271 217,088 20-Sep-2008 04:00 x86
    Werfaultsecure.exe 6.0.6001.22271 860,160 20-Sep-2008 04:00 x86
    Wersvc.dll 6.0.6001.18145 125,952 18-Sep-2008 04:56 x86
    Wersvc.dll 6.0.6001.22271 125,952 20-Sep-2008 04:00 x86

My only reasonable speculation about what's been going on my system has to do with fault reporting from the Nvidia drivers that my 8600GTS card uses, which is now apparently stable and no longer causing graphics driver restarts and occasional BSODs when the driver fails to restart before a timeout period has expired.

Has anyone reported problems with their screensaver no longer working after installing this update? It happened the first time the update came out, so I uninstalled it and tried to ensure it didn't reinstall. Somehow it reinstalled again, and now I can't uninstall it. It doesn't show up in the list of updates to uninstall, and I can't get my screensaver to work. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to correct this? Thanks.
