    Hi folks,

    I'm currently working with BDD 3.0 on a Longhorn Server Beta 2 (Virtual Maschine) and I've got the following issue with the BDDWorkbench Tool: After adding Operating Systems and Applications (which worked successful) I tried to make a new Build. The wizard opened and I could type the information needed. Before the process finished, the MMC crashed with the following error message:

    Microsoft BDD Workbench - MMC has detected an error in a snap-in and will unload it.

    Then I got another error message:

    Unhandled Exception in Management Code Snap-in
    FX:{ac478015-7621-47bd-87be-ef56736aee1c}
    Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
    Exception type: System.Reflection.TargetInvocationException

    From this moment on I was not able to make any new builds. There were always the same error messages. Even changing the user (I was always logged in as an Administrator) did not solve the problem. I tried to delete the files and folders in Distribution\Control, too, but still not success.

    Any ideas?

    what version of vista were you trying to build? 5456 will not work with this build of BDD 3.0

    Hallo zusammen,

     

    der Fehler ist bei der Version BDD 2007 auf einem Vista Client gleich. Mein Vista-Client 5456 läuft auf einer VMWARE-Workstation. Vielleicht ist dort eher das Problem zu suchen.

    Ist BDD mit älteren Build-Versionen gelaufen?

    Meine Entschuldigungen, mein Deutscher ist nicht gut, Vista 5456 arbeiten nicht mit dem BDD, Sie müssen 5384 verwenden

    Thanks for your answers, especially the German ones. Indeed, BDD only works with Beta 2 5384.

    BDD 2007 Beta 1 funktioniert auch nur mit Windows Server 2003.

    I've got the same message on w2k3 sp1 with Vista 5384.

    After that I can not open Builds or check Deployments.

    Any ways to fix it?

    Doesnt't work with BDD 2007 and Vista version 5472 either.

    As time goes on and new releases were coming, I try to use BDD 2007 Beta 2 on Windows Longhorn Server Build 5600. No issues during installation, but when I click on Distribution Share - Operating Systems in BDD Workbench to add a new distribution Windows crashes with a Blue Screen of Death.

    Any ideas?
