When and where will be able to get a CD of Service Pack 3 ?
I find my CD of SP2 indespensable at times.
The window of oppurtunity to procur the Service Pack 2 CD was small ,at least the zero cost window.
I am sure I am not alone in wanting to have the CD version rather than fooling around with downloads onto machines that may not have an internet connection now or ever.

CD images of the update package will be available at Microsoft Download Center on 4/29.

An online ordering tool for the same, similar to what is available for other service packs, will be available within the next month.

It seems trivial to have had at this point a location to order CDs of the Service Pack.
Then only the waiting would required but collection of shipping data is certainly trivial and would relieve a great deal of
concern about the need to continuously monitor this forum for just that purpose.

Would you be able to tell me where I need to go to get a cd of the new SP3.  Our download speed is so slow and we have 3 computers to update.  Thank you.

I heard on TV that you an go to the Microsoft Download site and download a CD Version and Burn it to a CD.

Then you can take the CD from Computer to Computer and install it much faster,

    Hope this helps......

Don't do that just yet - Microsoft still have bugs to fix. Give it a month or two...

Well it is needed.  I have dial up $144 a year, all that is available in my area at that cost so far.  I spent hours letting MS auto updates install it on my machine only to get a bad load and problems so bad the free tech people are telling me to uninstall the sp3 and do a an install from a CD.  Problem is the CD ISO file is even larger, estimated DL time 35 hours.  I tried anyway, but 22 hours into the connection MS reset the connection.  [Thanks guys.]  So until MS puts a quick to find link in the download page for ordering the SP3 CD, I guess none of my machines will get the SP3.  BTW, anyone know if the AMD from HP issue has been fixed yet?  One of my machines is an HP AMD, so I guess it won't get the update until that problem is fixed too, unless I want to auto reboot forever.

I still have not seen a location to order a CD with SP3 from Microsoft.
I can always burn my own copies from the image files provided but a certain sense of security is acquired
with having a "factory" made CD rather than my own and usually some decent info. is also included on the CD.

Can someone post a specific link for obtaining a CD ?
    Please
    Thank You

Did anyone but me read that first sentence in the first paragraph about this new SP3 - said that it addressed all the stuff that the SP2 addressed.  Did I read that wrong?!  Do we even NEED this SP3 if we've downloaded the SP2 already?  Because it took half of forever to get that SP2 downloaded in the first place - MS kept logging us off, and if it wasn't them, it was our own DSL!  And THEN ... when we thought it was done, it turned out to be 'buggie' and we were told to delete it and try again.  GRRRRRRR!  I even went so far as to delete our anti-virus package so things would presumably be smooth sailing, er ... smoothER sailing or something!  No such luck.  So, I'm going to buy the CD, pay the postage, whatever.  This whole thing is such a nightmare.  If a company is going to send out THAT many corrections (66 MB), patches or whatever the heck is on the thing, THEY should be mailing out the SP3's to us, no questions asked.  It's like my Office program, it got a scratch, won't reload and MS will not give me a new disk - even though it's MINE, I have the numbers and everything!  Might be time to go back to Apple.  No matter what anyone says ... this MS stuff IS a monopoly!
