Thanks, but is this RTM build the exact same build which will be available to public or is there any differences??

I also have another question, i heard that it's sp2 is required so that you can install sp3 on an existing windows installation but what about splipstreaming??

Does sp2 have to be slipstreamed first??

    Thanks

Apparently you need either SP1 or SP2 before you can slipstream SP3 correctly.  You can slipstream SP3 with Gold version (without any service packs) but I am told it won't do it correctly and your system will remain compromised.

    Hope this helps.

Dose "v 5512"  shows up on  the General tag of Computer Properties similar to the one for 3311?

Or it only shows "Service Pack 3" without "v 5512" same as "Service pack 2".

    Thank you

I tried the install of the RTM of SP3 but all I get is constant re-boots... I had to go into safe mode and uninstall it. Is this same unstability expected when MS puts it on their update site?

From where did you obtain "the RTM of SP3"?  Can you confirm exactly what build number it was?

Well, it's 1:30 EST and there is still no SP3 on the update site. What gives?

Apparently its been delayed by a day or 2 heres what Chris Keroack [MSFT] a forum moderator said:

In the last few days, we have uncovered a compatibility issue between Microsoft Dynamics Retail Management System (RMS) and both Windows XP SP3 and Windows Vista Service Pack 1 (SP1). In order to make sure customers have the best possible experience, we have decided to delay releasing Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3) to the web.

To help protect customers, we plan to put filtering in place shortly to prevent Windows Update from offering both service packs to systems running Microsoft Dynamics RMS.  Once filtering is in place, we expect to release Windows XP SP3 to the web.

We are also testing a fix, and will make it available once that process is complete.  Once they have installed the fix, Microsoft Dynamics RMS customers should be able to run both service packs.

Until then, we advise Microsoft Dynamics RMS customers to not install either service pack.  Microsoft Dynamics RMS customers running Windows XP SP3 or Windows Vista SP1 should contact Microsoft Customer Support Services for additional information.

So on that note it might not be available to ms update till maybe 10pm PST or 7 EST (maybe 8 or 9), so basiclly just wait for it. ms might release it at the 23:59:59 mark of today and that would technically make it still released as of the 29th
