    I have a client who has a few office 2003 documents that when she opens in office 2010 it has a grey border on the right side and  when you print the document its all shifted left on the page.

    tried messing with views and saving as 2003 compatible but still the same.    client has 2010 office pro and I have 2007 and same thing on my PC.  Open in 2003 and looks and prints fine

    tried installing SP1 but same issue

    Any suggestion?

    Hi,

    Please try to check compatibility in Word 2010 follow these steps:

    1. Open Word 2003 document,
    2. Click File > Info > drop down Check for Issues, and select Check Compatibility.
      Any issues between the 2010 version and earlier versions are listed in the Summary.

    NOTE   Selecting the Check compatibility when saving documents check box automatically checks for compatibility issues when you save your file as an earlier version.
