AnswerMoss Configuration Wizard doesn't ask for parameters

    Hello.

I installed MOSS standard edition on Windows 2003 server and continued to the Configuration Wizard.

The Configuration Wizard then runs without asking about any parameters, like the content databases location, until I see the created Sharepoint site.

    Is that normal?

    Thanks.

This link you posted is for COMPLETE installation, not STANDALONE (basic installation).

    in this link http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc263202(TechNet.10).aspx

    you can see:

Run the SharePoint Products and Technologies Configuration Wizard

    1. On the Welcome to SharePoint Products and Technologies page, click Next.

    2. In the dialog box that notifies you that some services might need to be restarted or reset during configuration, click Yes.

    3. On the Configuration Successful page, click Finish. Your new SharePoint site opens.

    No parameters are required.

    Francesco.

This is a ALL-IN-WONDER installation, with SQL SERVER EXPRESS by default and no chance to add more servers to the Farm. It's by design.

If you need to use another SQL server, you have to choose ADVANCED INSTALLATION.

    Bye,
