Since I installed SharePoint with the SP1 slipstream, the new infrastructure patches where the first time I patched our farm. I have a question on the correct update sequence, because it took me a few time to get it right. we have a small/medium farm that consists of one web front end, one indexing server, and one database server. I started with our WFE, installing the patches and then running the configuration wizard. In the wizard it would get to step one and pop a message up that I now need to installing the binaries on my other servers in the farm before continuing, so I would now go to our indexing server and perform the same actions. But this is where I get confused, now the same message pops up on our index server, that I need to install the binaries on other server in the farm before continuing. So my question is where do you go from here, should I  click ok and let the wizard finish it's update on our index server or go back to the WFE and let that wizard finish the update?

    the correct sequence is:

    Installation on WFE
Configuration Wizard on first WFE until pop-up
Installation binaries on others servers (NOT run Configuration Wizard there)
    Finish configuration Wizard on WFE
