AnswerADFS and User Maintenance

If I put SharePoint behind an ADFS Server how are users maintained? By this I mean, I know I am able to see users from 'partners' and I can add them to SharePoint and give them appropriate permissions. However, what happens when I give access to a user and that user leaves the 'partner'? Is that user automatically removed from my SharePoint instance? Does s/he have to be manually removed?

    Thanks for your help!

in MOSS 2007 the user will be disabled, but not deleted! there are same metatada (for example document authors, tasks ecc..) that have this user as value. So, by design MOSS (and WSS also) don't delete users.
