profile synchronisation with external AD for external people search

Hi
Is it possible to create serach location for external site
and create the people search (from the Active Directory of the external site)
how to create the profile synchronisation with external AD or Is it possible with People connector or BCS?
I am new to this area ,Please provide your guidance

Like many things in SharePoint you can do a lot but "It depends" on what you are trying to accomplish.
Can you share what you are trying to accomplish?
Do you wish to create a search result based on user accounts that are located in an external Active Directory service?
Do you wish to index an external website?
Do you wish to connect to another SharePoint Farm and present search results based on content and people profiles?If this helps you then please mark the post as helpful.

Please tell me in both way. I will try to implement whichever convenient and easier to me
