Hi dear members !
I have such issue : customer wants to publish Visio 2007 diagrams (vsd files) to sharepoint 2010 . This is only allowed by Visio 2010 . Issue is to show diagrams in browser so user without Visio can look at them .

You should still be able to view Visio 2007 diagrams, but you will have to upload them the old way rather publishing them.

To Ninja :)
how users will see this diagrams if they do not have visio installed ? When you try to open *.vsd file local installed Visio open it for you.
I'm researching right now how programmatically convert and publish existing vsd files to vdw and show them to users .

Hi shishkosv,
Thanks for your post.
As you said, the Visio Web drawings only can be published to SharePoint server 2010 using Microsoft Visio Professional 2010 and Microsoft Premium 2010. If you have upload a file created by visio 2007, the user can’t view it in the browser. Instead, a download dialog will be pop up.
There is a “Save as Web Page API” in Visio service, you can try to use this method.
The Save as Web Page feature, which was introduced in Microsoft Visio 2002, provides users with a simple way of publishing Visio documents on the Web.

Another workaround is install Visio 201o on you server, and open Visio 2007 file and publish it using Visio 2010.
