While in datasheet view I have lost the function to click on the filter column and start typing to jump to the value I want. I have also lost function of using the mouse scroll to scroll down the list.

I am left with having to click and hold on the side of the drop down and scroll all the way through hundreds of values.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    SP3084,

Can you try deleting the view and recreating the DataSheet View.

I have tried deleting and creating. The problem only exists on some machines. I am beginning to think it is an IE problem.

    Can you try following

    Add and remove filters
    1. On the toolbar, click Filter. A drop-down list appears above each column containing all of the values for that column.

    2. In the drop-down list for the column on which you want to filter, click the value for the items you want to display. Only items matching that value display.

    3. You can continue to apply additional filters until only the desired items are displayed.

    4. To remove a filter, click All in the drop-down list for the filtered column. Other filters are unaffected.

Add, edit, and remove custom filters by editing the datasheet

    1. On the toolbar, click Edit in Datasheet.

    2. Click the drop-down list for the column on which you want to filter, and then click Custom Filter.

    3. On the Custom Filter dialog box, you can enter up to three rules.

Rules applied to other columns linked by And must both be true for an item to display. Rules linked by Ordisplay if either rule is true.

    4. You can edit a custom filter at any time to broaden or narrow the displayed items by clicking Custom Filter in the drop-down list for the column in the grid view.

    5. To completely remove a custom filter from a column, click Show All in the drop-down list for a column. Filters on other columns are unaffected.

Note: You can also use the drop-down lists in the datasheet view to add, edit, or remove simple filters.

    Thanks

Yes, all of the above functions are working properly for all users computers.

It's just on a select few computers they cannot navigate within the sort and filter drop down by typing the first letter and having it jump to the values or using the mouse scroll wheel.

We are also having the same issue. A google search shows that this is probably an IE 9 issue and the only solution I've seen is to set the compatibility mode of the pages in the Master Page to quarks or IE7 mode. That's not really an option I'd like to try. Soooooo, does anyone out there have an answer to this??

    Thanks!!
