Answered Some folders are not visible in a tree view

    Hello everyone,

I have a problem with displaying several folders ( standard SharePoint 2010 document library with sub-folders), while selecting an image from a webpage dialog. As you can see from the image below, some of the folders are missing in a tree view on the left, for example Corporate HR, Kids Media etc.

Have anyone experienced that problem before or knows how to solve/fix it? If I create a new folder, then it is visible in both "spaces", so it's only three folders that are not visible...

PS. Users can access the folders, but they have to select a folder from the "right" side of the dialog window.

    Thank in advance,

    Igor.

Any difference in the way these folders were created?

    Any difference in permissions?

    Cheers

    Hello Alex,

I do not know if there is any difference how those folders were created, because they were created some time ago, but there is no difference in settings or permissions. Everybody can access them from the right hand-side of the webpage dialog, but they simply do not appear on the left hand-side.

    Hello Igor,

Have you customized the asset picker?

    Hi Igor,

the right part of the page is using Lists' view settings to display items (instead of the left part).

And it seems that view is configured to "show all files and all subfolders of all folders"...

If so, change this view settings not to display items within subfolders...

    Hope this helps..

    Hello HeToc,

Thank you for your answer, but the folders that are missing on the right hand-side are not sub-folders, they are located at the same level as other folders that are visible on the left hand-side.

    Regards,

    Igor

    Hello Sally,

I have not, but I am not sure, if others have. Where can I check that?

The solution was pretty simple... I have just renamed the folders to another value and then renamed them back once again and the problem was solved!?! =)

But thanks to everyone for the input,

    Regards,

    Igor.
