    Hi,

We have set up User Profile Sync with an AD accordning to every guide we can find. We have fixed the issue with netbios etc. The profile sync is successful and I can see that we have 336 profiles, but the only profile I can see if I search profiles under Manage user profiles is the farm account.

I have tried to search for domain\profile .... profile..... fqdn\profile.. nothing helps. If I look in the table in the database I can see that all the users are there with the domain\profile .. but why doesnt them show up when I search for them?

very thankful for help on this.

    regards

    Henrik

    Thank you for the reply,

But I am not really sure I know what you mean.? Can you point me in the right direction on how to set up a search crawl ? We have not configured people search yet. Only imported the User Profiles, and now we cannot view them under Manage User Profiles.

what database table you mean? when you said "I can see that we have 336 profiles" - where you can see them? in database table or in Central Administration > User Profile Service Application > Number of User profiles? If you see them in CA, on the page Manage User Profiles there is a list with options:

    - Active Profiles

    - Profiles missing from import

what option you use when you search for the profiles? are search results the same for both options?

    Hi Sadomovalex,

If i go to Manage User Profiles in CA I can see the Total number of profiles: 336 and if I look in the dbo.UserProfile_Full table I can see the NT Name of all the users in the ProfileDB.

It doesnt mather if I choose -Active Profiles or -Profiles missing from import. The result is the same when i search for them. The only account that is showing up is the farm account.

    Hello,

thanks for the reply, but the cleanup job didnt do it either. I solved it by removing the User Profile Service Application and DB:s and started all over again.

    1. Create New User Profile Service Application

    2. Make sure the Forefront Identity services has Automatic startup type

    3. Change the SPServiceApplication.NetBiosDomainNamesEnabled to true

    4. IISReset or restart of the server

    5. start User profile sync service

    6. create a new sync connection

    7. start full sync

    Thanks for the help.

Oh also on 2010 you do not see list of users as in 2007, you will have to type in and find them...

Should be easy enough to see all by typing the first few letters of you domain name...
