Javascript Errors

Tuesday, March 02, 2010 8:56 AMI installed Sharepoint foundation 2010 but when i navigate to any page there is always a javascript error.
for example : i can't create a new site collection (from the Ribbon )because of the javascript error
Any advise ?

Did you try running Windows Updates to get all latest updates?
Others in this Forum would be able to advice you better, if we can see the JavaScript error details here. Please post the JS error.

Tuesday, March 02, 2010 1:19 PMMoreover, when navigating to the site using the the server name, it is asking me to Install Silverlight, but when i navigate through the IP it recognizes silverlight since Silverlight is already installed.

Seems to be some Network issues. Are you accessing your SharePoint server from another client.
Can you please tell us about the OS/Browser details and also check if you can access the site directly on your SharePoint Server.
I am assuming that you performed the setup with default options and there were no errors during the setup.
