OneNote indexing
-
Friday, November 20, 2009 12:05 AMDoes the default search setup index OneNote notebooks?
It appears to be on the list of file types in the search admin, however search does not appear to be indexing the contents of a notebook. It's working fine for the contents of word documents.
I was hoping this would work so we could consider OneNote as a place to store support or knowledge base type information that can be sync'd locally.- Edited by Mike Walsh FIN Friday, November 20, 2009 5:35 AM "Onenote" -> OneNote

The OneNote IFilter ought to be included in Filter Pack 2.0 which is installed as part of the installation process for both SPF 2010 and SP 2010.P.S. Are your OneNote files in 2010 or 2007 format ? It is I suppose possible that the Filter Pack hasn't caught up yet with the latest format of OneNote files.
