Answered Multilingual User Interface Support for Managed Metadata

    Hi,

In the SharePoint conference it was stated that the MUI supported the Managed Metadata (taxonomy), however, I can't find the way to have the groups, term sets and terms translated.

I tried doing it in the same way that I translated document library name and description, by changing the language and then editing the properties, but it didn't work.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thanks

    Sandra

    Sandra,

1°in the Managed metadata service , click on your termstore and add your working languages
2°click on a term (not a termset), select language; choose your language and in the Default label provide the term value for the selected language.

Now, add your managed metadata in a list item, switch the interface to the selected language and the translated value should show up.It doesn't alway work, kinda bug...

    Hope this helps

It works randomly, sometimes yes sometimes no :(

Why arent term sets multilingual? The term set name is displayed to the users when they are selecting the value (if they click on the "select" icon"), so it would be great if the term set were translated as well.
